Paolo Villa is an independent professional focused on cross-border M&A and international growth. 

He advises multinationals and global M&A advisory firms in the acquisition of Italian companies, works together with Italian owners and managers in cross-border acquisitions and in international expansion strategies and also assits in searching European targets and in finding international investors for sell-side opportunities.

His activities include post acquisition support and assistance in financial reorganization and control. 

Paolo is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

ACG has 14,000+ members with chapters throughout North America, Europe and the Far East.

Prior Professional Experience

In his first 15 years of professional life Paolo worked as a consultant in a prestigious accounting firm in Milan that he organized and directed.

During this period he assisted over 40 multinationals coming from more than 10 different countries, often taking on fiduciary roles, and was appointed European Director of one of the main worldwide association of accounting firms and sole representative for Italy of a UK network of accountants and lawyers.

As an accountant and of behalf of foreign clients, he successfully followed several acquisitions and divestitures.

Among the clients served:  Akzo Nobel (NL), Basf (D), Booz Allen & Hamilton (USA), Chovet Engineering (F), Kota Radja (RC), Samsung (ROK), Slim Fast (USA), Tele Atlas/Tom Tom (NL), The Morgan Crucible Company (UK), Tulip Computers (NL), Universal Weather and Aviation (USA), W.B.B. Devon Clays (UK), Yagi Tsusho (J), Yamanouchi Pharma (J).

His technical knowledge includes business law, audit, accounting and taxation. 

Afterwards, as an independent professional, Paolo served as CFO of an aerosol company and as CEO of a surgical kits company and of a food ingredients company, all three Italian subsidiaries of foreign multinationals, that he led in their M&A transaction and reorganization processes.


Paolo holds a degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Milan and is a registered Statutory Auditor.
